Last week my 8-year-old was trying to coax our little dog downstairs to play with her. "Pretend you are going to take her on a walk" I smartly advised; "I bet she'll follow you then".

To which my very obedient daughter replied, "Mom, that would be tricking, and you always tell me no one likes to be tricked!"

It's good to know that what we teach really gets through, even when we forget the lesson ourselves!!
